University of Waterloo's WatSPEED's career accelerator programs equip you with the knowledge and experience needed to achieve a new job or promotion in our disruptive workforce. Combining essential training in technical and professional skills, programs include multiple courses that provide extensive job-ready skills development for in-demand professions.

Receive career coaching and supports by YWKW & Uvaro, engage directly with industry clients and mentors, and gain exclusive access to additional learning and development resources to aid in future job searches. 

YW's IHCS is working with university of Waterloo WatSPEED to support women and gender diverse learners who are enrolled in the WatSPEED Career Accelerator Program. Learners will participate in Uvaro's Career Success program and receive on-going career coaching from YW's IHCS team throughout the 16 week program.

• Career success foundations program delivered by Uvaro
• Career coaching and job search supports (e.g., personal branding, resume building, and interview prep) by YW Kitchener-Waterloo and Uvaro
• Real-world group projects guided by industry leaders and mentors
• Opportunities to enhance your professional network
• Two (2) additional professional development courses through WatSPEED
• Subsidies for low-income people are available, apply through U of W & contact ihcs@ywkw.ca regarding a request for subsidy referral.
