Donations


Donating to YW Thrift Boutique & IHCS

Our social enterprise thrives on donations from the public. We gladly accept donations of new and gently used items for our store, as well as financial donations. All proceeds from sales and financial donations go directly towards supporting women, gender-diverse people and youth to gain financial stability through our Integrated Holistic Career Services (IHCS). 

We accept donations for YW Thrift Boutique at 102 King St. West, Kitchener during our store hours. If you need to contact us regarding your donation, please email us at thrift@ywkw.ca or call 226-751-6898. 

 Donating Items

 

 

Current Wish List:

  • Home décor: Small items such as vases, vintage items, one-of-a-kind items, collectables, or art
  • Bags: Purses, totes, handbags, book-bags, clutches, and wallets
  • Accessories: Hats, sunglasses, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, watches, pins, belts, mittens/gloves, scarves
  • Footwear: Shoes and boots of all sizes and styles
  • Clothing: Clothing has no gender.  We accept all sizes and styles in excellent or new condition, including coats and jackets. Note: all winter coats and boots will be distributed to YW shelter clients until their needs are met; after that time, they will be sold in YW Thrift Boutique
  • Puzzles: Puzzles for all ages
  • Shelves: Suitable for storing and displaying items in our store and workspace
  • Display Stands: Sturdy display stands including clothing racks, busts, and mannequins
  • Note: We do not sell toys, furniture, towels and bedding, undergarments, swimwear, cosmetics, or religious items
